Orthoxylene has the standard properties of aromatic solvents.
In addition to paints and varnishes, dissolves polymers and coatings based on vinyl, acrylic, nitrocellulose, chlorinated rubber; epoxy, formaldehyde resins, urea and melamine based resins. It is used for degreasing and cleaning surfaces.
Can be used as a high-octane additive in motor petrol.
It is flammable, requires proper storage and handling.
